Requirement
of Consultancy support for preparation of Project:
1)
The KSFIC is
a Government of Karnataka undertaking,
interested in reviving and expanding its established wood
based industries at its existing properties at Dandeli and
Shimoga for carpentry and joinery works, manufacturing Windows,
Doors, Flush Doors, Block Boards or any other wood product
including job sawing works, pulp wood, splitting works and any
other value addition in wood product and any wood substitution
product made from particle Boards, plywood, MDF boards etc
sourced either from Government or from other reputed suppliers
on quotation/tender basis etc., For this purpose KSFIC
is looking for a consultant for preparation of suitable project
report.
Any registered firm or company who are qualified and have
experience and expertise in preparation of such project report
for financial medium size wood based industries may send their
offer of consultancy with the following details in a sealed
cover so as to reach this office within 25.10.2008.

Name / address and Registration number of the
firm/Company.

Qualification and annual turnover for the last 5
years.

c)
Year of establishment and experience of similar
consultancy / work.
|
d) Summary of previously prepared five projects with
the cost/ address of the
client and performance of the
above industries at present. |
e)
Total consultancy fee quoted, including preparation
of project with full details, including
all taxes, as applicable. The consultancy project, including
preparation of project
report to be submitted to KSFIC within 90 days of the
final acceptance   of the offer and
communicating the same to the successful firm/ company.

The
scope of the Consultancy and preparation of project report would
involve:
|
1)Assessing
the present situation of the above two units by visiting the
sites and giving
appropriate revival cum establishment cum expansion project. |
| 2) Market
survey for availability of raw material and relative cost
benefit of the same.
|
3)
Market survey for demand of products, particularly
in Shimoga / Belgaum / Hubli / harwad /Gulbarga / Koppal /
Mangalore and Bangalore.
|
|
4)Name and addresses of financial Institution and
amount to be borrowed.
|
5) Men
and machinery required by keeping in mind the present staff and
various machineries conditions.
List of Addresses of various suppliers of machineries be
furnished. |

6)
Financial requirements of the projects.
|
|
7) Cost benefit analysis ratio and return on
investment expected.
|
|
8) Number of persons to be employed.
|
|
9) Scenario of availability of skilled staff.
|
|
10)Liasioning with statutory authorities for various
sanctions and approvals.
|
|
11)Any
other information which is essential for establishment of
project.
|
12)Only such firms / companies offers will be
considered who have
minimum of Rs.1.00 crore annual turn over in the last 3
years.
|
13)The
bidding document should be accompanied by EMD of Rs. 25,000/- by
way of DDdrawn in favour of Managing Director, KSFIC,
Bangalore.
The EMD will not carry any interest and is refundable to
unsuccessful bidders within one month of
finalization is over.
For successful bidders the EMD will be adjusted in their
Security Deposit.

14)They should also enclose copies of Income tax
returns along with PAN No. and
Registration No. of VAT & CST
be furnished.

15)
A Security Deposit of 10% of the value of the bid
offer would have to be remitted by the  
successful bidder in the
form of DD drawn in favour of Managing Director, KSFIC,  
Bangalore, which can be refunded after 3 months of the closure
of the work order, after deducting dues if any.

16)
The agreed Consultancy amount will be paid in two
instalments, with 30% at the time of  
submission of interim
Project Report and the balance after submission and acceptance
of final Project Report.

17)
Ordinarily there will be no extension of the above
time period.
However, Managing   Director may extend the period
suitable under circumstances requiring such extensions,
which will not be more than 30 days.
|
18)The Consultancy support system involves
pre-briefing by the Management about the vision
and the work in
the above sites and intermediate exchange of thoughts with the
management and familiarization visit of the Consultant to the
above two sites.

19)The successful bidder will have to sign necessary
agreement with KSFIC within 7 days of
communication of the
acceptance order.
|
|
20)The Managing Director reserves the right to reject
any bid without assigning any reason.
|

Terms
and conditions for Consultancy for preparation of Project Report
for cultivation of medicinal plants.
The
detailed conditions are as below:-
1.
The bidding Consultancy / Agency should be experienced in
preparing projects for cultivation of medicinal plants and its
marketing aspect.
2.
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience is required in
the above field with minimum turnover of Rs.0.50 crores in the
last 3 years.
3.
The Consultancy can be offered by any registered public
body / registered private society / Public Sector Undertaking/
Public Authorities / Autonomous Institutes run by Central/ State
Government / registered company
4.
The bid should
be submitted in a sealed cover, super scribed “Expression of
interest for offer of consultancy for medicinal plants” and
addressed to the Managing Director, at the above given address.
5.
The last date for submission of the bid is 25.10.2008
upto office closing hours.
6.
The offer should be accompanied by an EMD of Rs.10,000/-
in the form of DD drawn in favour of Managing Director, KSFIC,
Bangalore. The
EMD is without interest, refundable to unsuccessful bidders
within one month of finalization
of the offer. For
successful bidder, the EMD shall be adjusted in their Security
Deposit..
7.
The scope of the work includes preparing an economically
and financially viable Project for cultivation and marketing of
certain important medicinal plants which have good and ready
market in India, preferably for the industries situated in
Karnataka; export related species, if any would also have to be within the ambit of various law, but should primarily satisfy
above stated economic / and / financial
viability for such proposal.
However emphasis would be on domestic market.
8.
Part of the project should cover the
exploration of possibilities of tie
up with willing industries either on buy back basis or
joint venture basis.
9.
The project report should be prepared and submitted
within 45 days from the date of signing agreement.
10.
A Security Deposit of 10% of the value of the bid offer
would have to be remitted, by the
successful bidder in the form of
DD drawn in favour of Managing Director, KSFIC, Bangalore,
which can be refunded after 3
months of the closure of the work order, after deducting dues if
any..
11.
Relevant Sales Tax / Income Tax clearance certificate of
the last 2 years should be attached with bid offer.
12.
The agreed Consultancy amount will be paid in two
installments, with 30% at the time of submission of interim
Project Report and the balance after submission and acceptance
of final Project Report.
13.
Ordinarily there will be no extension of the above time
period. However,
Managing Director may extend the period suitably under
circumstances requiring such extensions, which will not
be more than 30 days.
14.
The Consultancy support system involves pre-briefing by
the Management about the vision and the work
in the above sites and intermediate exchange of thoughts
with the management and familiarization visit of the consultant
to the above two sites.
15.
The successful bidder will have to sign necessary
agreement with KSFIC. Within the 7 days of communication of the
acceptance order.
16.
The Managing Director reserves the right to reject any
bid without assigning any reason.

product like Bamboo related Products, (As designed by reputed
organizations like IPIRTI) fashioned logs for wooden houses /
log cabins etc, and any other such wood value addition that have
good domestic and export demands. KSFIC is looking for expert
consultancy for preparation of suitable project report for above
purposes. Any
registered firm or company who are qualified and have experience
and expertise in preparation of such project report for
financial medium size wood based industries may send their offer
of consultancy with the following details in a sealed cover so
as to reach this office by 15.12.2008, with following particulars.

4) Men (skilled and unskilled) and machinery required by keeping in mind the present staff and various machineries conditions. List of Addresses of various suppliers of machineries be furnished.
5) Financial requirements of the project.
6) Name and addresses of financial Institution which can finance above projects.
7) Cost benefit analysis ratio and return on investment expected.
8) The time frame envisaged in the project write ups regarding Requirement and availability of skilled staff
9) Liasioning with statutory authorities for various sanctions and
approvals.
10) Any other information which is essential for establishment of project.
11) Associate firms / companies offers whose turnover jointly exceeds Rs.1.00 crore annually in the last 3 years will also be considered.
12) The bidding document should be accompanied by EMD of Rs. 25,000/- by way of DD drawn in favour of Managing Director, KSFIC, Bangalore.
